The butchery, biltong and droewors here are the best in Surrey, hands down. Folks that run it are always super friendly and welcoming. Don't waste your time with other Saffa shops, if you want premium consistency just come here!

The best butcher around. Boerewors and biltong as it is meant to be. Quality of meat is second to none plus loads of South African goodies.

It's my favourite place to get all the goodies I miss from home, especially the chutney and the mayonnaise and stoney ginger beer. Their Texican steak is absolutely the best 👌

Used to go elsewhere for Biltong, now only come here, more of a drive away but worth it. Also very clean and neat. The meat also always looks delicious.

Fantastic first experience from the time I called in advance to the in-store experience. Biltong and dry wors is yummy. Can’t wait to try the Durban spices and sausages.

Okay... so this Butcher was found by complete chance whilst taking a long cut back to Brighton. Funny how I seem to stumble upon absolute little gems and this is another one. The South African inspired marinated meat selection is all hand prepared with the finest cuts, the choice is mouth watering. You can also purchase amazing Steaks, Roasts and Sausages again, all hand prepared in house. As a bonus, they sell all sorts of SA products like Cider, Lager, Crisps, Soft drinks amongst other things.. I leave these reviews rarely but when I do, it's because I think it's so important to highlight the businesses that just go above and beyond what seems to be the sub standard these days.. The owner and staff are passionate and this Butchers shows it. Oh, and the Biltong.. the owner asked me if I like it, I said no.. had it before and its not for me. He chuckled and said something along the lines of I bet you had it out of a packet and then preceded to slice me a small taster of his own in house Biltong. Wow, I didn't know that was what Biltong was supposed to be like! Its not dry old leather at all, far far from it... more like fine slithers of perfectly seasoned Steak. As you can tell, I was blown away by Hot Rock Butchery.. this place is fire.

You simply won't find better biltong anywhere else in the UK. They have the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff and have a food hygiene rating of 5/5 at the time of me doing this review. As a bonus to their already established awesomeness they also do deliveries! So if you can't get to Woking they'll get it to you. I will be going as often as I can, that's a guarantee. 5 stars isn't a high enough rating for this establishment.
